| 1 | AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 178

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 178 on page 9, line | ||||||
| 3 | 15, by deleting "3,"; and
| ||||||
| 4 | by deleting line 2 on page 10 through line 2 on page 25; and
| ||||||
| 5 | on page 76, line 4, after "Section 20-60", by inserting "and by | ||||||
| 6 | adding Section 20-165"; and
| ||||||
| 7 | on page 78, immediately below line 10, by inserting the | ||||||
| 8 | following:

| 9 | "(30 ILCS 500/20-165 new) | ||||||
| 10 | Sec. 20-165. Contracting oversight for contracts of | ||||||
| 11 | S500,000 or more. At least 30 days before each proposed | ||||||
| 12 | contract of $500,000 or more is finalized under this Code, the | ||||||
| 13 | Chief Procurement Officer having jurisdiction over that | ||||||
| 14 | proposed contract must deliver a copy of all information | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | pertaining to the proposed contract to the Commission on | ||||||
| 2 | Government Forecasting and Accountability. Notwithstanding any | ||||||
| 3 | other provision of this Code, the Commission on Government | ||||||
| 4 | Forecasting and Accountability may disapprove any proposed | ||||||
| 5 | contract in excess of $500,000 at any time before that proposed | ||||||
| 6 | contract is finalized. If the Commission on Government | ||||||
| 7 | Forecasting and Accountability disapproves a proposed | ||||||
| 8 | contract, then that proposed contract may not be finalized | ||||||
| 9 | unless subsequently approved by a joint resolution of the | ||||||
| 10 | General Assembly.".
