SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
20 ILCS 3305/7.5 new

Amends the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act. Provides that during the pendency of a proclamation by the Governor declaring that a statewide disaster impacting every county exists, all local health departments shall report to and be directed by the Department of Public Health.

1 AN ACT concerning State government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act is
5amended by adding Section 7.5 as follows:
6 (20 ILCS 3305/7.5 new)
7 Sec. 7.5. Disaster declaration; local health departments.
8During the pendency of a proclamation by the Governor
9declaring that a statewide disaster impacting every county
10exists under Section 7, all local health departments shall
11report to and be directed by the Department of Public Health.
