1 AN ACT concerning employment.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Unemployment Insurance Act is amended by
5changing Section 1701 as follows:
6 (820 ILCS 405/1701) (from Ch. 48, par. 611)
7 Sec. 1701. Rules and and regulations.
8 General and special rules may be adopted, amended, or
9rescinded by the Director only after public hearing or
10opportunity to be heard thereon, of which proper notice has
11been given. General rules shall become effective ten days after
12filing with the Secretary of State and publication in one or
13more newspapers of general circulation in this State. Special
14rules shall become effective ten days after notification to or
15mailing to the last known address of the individuals or
16concerns affected thereby. Regulations may be adopted,
17amended, or rescinded by the Director and shall become
18effective ten days after filing with the Secretary of State,
19and such filing shall be public notice of such regulation,
20amendment thereto, or rescission thereof, as the case may be.
