AN ACT concerning transportation.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Boat Registration and Safety Act is amended
by changing Section 5-1 as follows:
(625 ILCS 45/5-1) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 315-1)
Sec. 5-1. Careless operation. No person shall operate any
watercraft in a careless or heedless manner so as to endanger
any person or property or at a rate of speed greater than will
permit him in the the exercise of reasonable care to bring the
watercraft to a stop within the assured clear distance ahead.
