1 AN ACT concerning transportation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by changing
5Section 6-901 as follows:
6 (625 ILCS 5/6-901) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 6-901)
7 Sec. 6-901. Definitions. For the purposes of this Article:
8 "Board" means the Driver's License Medical Advisory Board.
9 "Medical examiner" or "medical practitioner" means:
10 (i) any person licensed to practice medicine in all its
11 branches in the State of Illinois or any other state;
12 (ii) a licensed physician assistant who has been
13 delegated the performance of medical examinations by his or
14 her supervising physician; or
15 (iii) a licensed advanced practice nurse who has a
16 written collaborative agreement with a collaborating
17 physician which authorizes him or her to perform medical
18 examinations; or .
19 (iv) a licensed optometrist for the purpose of
20 certifying vision fitness to operate a motor vehicle.
