Bill Title: Amends the Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004. Provides that no licensee shall contract with any municipality for the provision of auxiliary police services. Provides that an employee serving as an auxiliary police officer shall perform only those duties provided by the Illinois Municipal Code and shall, at all times during his or her service, comply with all other requirements of the Code.

225 ILCS 447/10-31 new

Amends the Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private
5Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004 is
6amended by adding Section 10-31 as follows:
7 (225 ILCS 447/10-31 new)
8 Sec. 10-31. Contracts for auxiliary police services. No
9licensee shall contract with any municipality for the provision
10of auxiliary police services under Section 3.1-30-20 of the
11Illinois Municipal Code. An employee serving as an auxiliary
12police officer shall perform only those duties provided by
13Section 3.1-30-20 of the Illinois Municipal Code and shall
14comply with all other requirements of Section 3.1-30-20 and of
15the Illinois Municipal Code.
