    Amends the Courses of Study Article of the School Code. Requires a school board to offer courses in Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Telugu, and Malayalam as a part of its school foreign language curricula.

1    AN ACT concerning education.
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4    Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section
527-23.19 as follows:
6    (105 ILCS 5/27-23.19 new)
7    Sec. 27-23.19. Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Telugu, and
8Malayalam courses required. A school board shall offer courses
9in Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Telugu, and Malayalam as part of its
10school foreign language curricula.
