1 AN ACT concerning finance.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by
5changing Section 1-5 as follows:
6 (30 ILCS 500/1-5)
7 Sec. 1-5. Public policy. It is the the purpose of this Code
8and is declared to be the policy of the State that the
9principles of competitive bidding and economical procurement
10practices shall be applicable to all purchases and contracts by
11or for any State agency.
