Bill Title: Amends the Medical Assistance Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that a resident of a facility licensed under the Community-Integrated Living Arrangements Licensure and Certification Act who is eligible for benefits under the medical assistance program shall keep all monthly earned income from employment or day program activities after making all necessary income tax withholdings. Provides that the Department of Human Services shall not reduce a facility's individual rate of reimbursement for services provided to the resident by the amount of earned income reported by the resident.

AN ACT concerning public aid.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
adding Section 5-41 as follows:
(305 ILCS 5/5-41 new)
Sec. 5-41. CILA reimbursement rate. A resident of a
facility licensed under the Community-Integrated Living
Arrangements Licensure and Certification Act who is eligible
for benefits under the medical assistance program shall keep
all monthly earned income from employment or day program
activities after making all necessary income tax withholdings.
The Department of Human Services shall not reduce a facility's
individual rate of reimbursement for services provided to the
resident by the amount of earned income reported by the
resident.
