Bill Title: Amends the Illinois Hazardous Materials Transportation Act. Defines "Local Road" as any roadway, except for (i) a highway with 3 or more lanes, or (ii) an interstate highway. Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Adds recreational off-highway vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, watercraft, and aircraft to the definition of a "police vehicle". Effective immediately.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | Section 10. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by | ||||||
5 | changing Section 1-162.3 as follows:

6 | (625 ILCS 5/1-162.3) | ||||||
7 | Sec. 1-162.3. Police vehicle. Any vehicle, recreational | ||||||
8 | off-highway vehicle, all-terrain vehicle, watercraft, | ||||||
9 | aircraft, bicycle, or electric personal assistive mobility | ||||||
10 | device that is designated or authorized by proper local | ||||||
11 | authorities for police use.
