Bill Title: Amends the Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004. Provides that a private detective or private detective agency licensed under the Act shall have access to the State of Illinois Insurance Verification System to the fullest and same extent as any insurer, agent, or State user of the System for any legitimate business purpose for which the private detective or private detective agency is licensed.

225 ILCS 447/35-50 new
Amends the Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004. AN ACT concerning regulation.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private
Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004 is
amended by adding Section 35-50 as follows:

Sec. 35-50. State of Illinois Insurance Verification
System. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary,
a private detective or private detective agency licensed under
this Act shall have access to the State of Illinois Insurance
Verification System to the fullest and same extent as any
insurer, agent, or State user of the System for any legitimate
business purpose for which the private detective or private
detective agency is licensed.
