20 ILCS 1605/7.18 new

Amends the Illinois Lottery Law. Provides that the identity of a recipient of a prize may not be disclosed without the consent of the recipient. Provides that the awarding of a prize may not be conditioned upon disclosure of the identity of the recipient.

1 AN ACT concerning the lottery.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Lottery Law is amended by adding
5Section 7.18 as follows:
6 (20 ILCS 1605/7.18 new)
7 Sec. 7.18. Disclosure of identity of winners. The
8Department may not disclose to the public the name of any
9recipient of a prize unless the recipient consents in writing
10to the disclosure. The Department may not condition the
11awarding of any prize upon the disclosure of the identity of
12the recipient.
