Bill Title: Amends the Medical Assistance Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that beginning January 1, 2025 (rather than January 1, 2020), the Department of Healthcare and Family Services shall reimburse Children's Community-Based Health Care Centers at the lower of their usual and customary charge to the public or at the Department rate of $1500 (rather than $950). Effective January 1, 2025.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | |||||||||||||||||||
3 | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by | |||||||||||||||||||
5 | changing Section 5-2.06 as follows:

6 | (305 ILCS 5/5-2.06) | |||||||||||||||||||
7 | Sec. 5-2.06. Payment rates; Children's Community-Based | |||||||||||||||||||
8 | Health Care Centers. Beginning January 1, 2025 2020 , the | |||||||||||||||||||
9 | Department shall, for eligible individuals, reimburse | |||||||||||||||||||
10 | Children's Community-Based Health Care Centers established in | |||||||||||||||||||
11 | the Alternative Health Care Delivery Act and providing nursing | |||||||||||||||||||
12 | care for the purpose of transitioning children from a hospital | |||||||||||||||||||
13 | to home placement or other appropriate setting and reuniting | |||||||||||||||||||
14 | families for a maximum of up to 120 days on a per diem basis at | |||||||||||||||||||
15 | the lower of the Children's Community-Based Health Care | |||||||||||||||||||
16 | Center's usual and customary charge to the public or at the | |||||||||||||||||||
17 | Department rate of $1500 $950 . Payments at the rate set forth | |||||||||||||||||||
18 | in this Section are exempt from the 2.7% rate reduction | |||||||||||||||||||
