2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of James Edwin "Jim" Falline of Moline, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on January 12, 2021; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Jim Falline was born to Edwin and Myrtle (White) | ||||||
6 | Falline on October 27, 1926; he served in the U.S. Navy during | ||||||
7 | World War II; he married Mardelle Docherty in Rock Island on | ||||||
8 | April 22, 1950; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Jim Falline worked as a process engineer at the | ||||||
10 | International Harvester Farmall Plant before retiring in 1985; | ||||||
11 | and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Jim Falline was a member of Trinity Lutheran | ||||||
13 | Church in Moline; he enjoyed golfing, watching the Chicago | ||||||
14 | Bears and Cubs games, traveling, and spending time with | ||||||
15 | family; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Jim Falline was preceded in death by his sisters, | ||||||
17 | Betty McCaw and Marylee Laut; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Jim Falline is survived by his wife of 70 years, | ||||||
19 | Mardelle; his children, Marsha Falline and Brian Falline; and | ||||||
20 | his grandchildren, Dane Falline, Kade Falline, and Erin |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | James Edwin "Jim" Falline and extend our sincere condolences | ||||||
5 | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | ||||||
6 | it further

7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of Jim Falline as an expression of our | ||||||
9 | deepest sympathy.
