SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Thomas "Tom" Schilling of East Moline,
4who passed away on January 15, 2021; and
5 WHEREAS, Tom Schilling was born to Richard M. and Olive A.
6(Lage) Schilling in Streator on November 30, 1945; he married
7Elizabeth Ann Williams in Silvis on December 10, 1983; and
8 WHEREAS, Tom Schilling served in the U.S. Navy from 1964
9to 1966; he was a mason for several years; and
10 WHEREAS, Tom Schilling had a love for shooting pool and
11for Airedale dogs, especially his best friend Zeke; and
12 WHEREAS, Tom Schilling was preceded in death by his
13parents and his grandson, Derek D. Spicer; and
14 WHEREAS, Tom Schilling is survived by his wife, Ann; his
15daughters, Terry Barker and Amy (Will Price) Schilling; his
16sons, Tom Barker, Derek Spicer, Darren (Patty McDunough)
17Spicer, and Daniel (Amy) Spicer; his sister, Mary Ellen
18Daniel; his brothers, Bill (Carolyn) Schilling, Richard
19(Donna) Schilling, and John (Sara) Schilling; his eleven
20grandchildren; and his five great-grandchildren; therefore, be

2 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Thomas "Tom" Schilling and extend our sincere condolences to
5his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
7 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Tom Schilling as an expression of
9our deepest sympathy.
