| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Lawrence Garbs Jr. of Edwardsville, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on January 16, 2013; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Lawrence Garbs Jr. was born on September 24, 1928, | ||||||
| 6 | in Mascoutah; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Lawrence Garbs Jr. worked as an electrician out of | ||||||
| 8 | IBEW Local 649 in Alton; he served in the U.S. Army during the | ||||||
| 9 | Korean War; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Lawrence Garbs Jr. enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, | ||||||
| 11 | and men's fastpitch softball; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Lawrence Garbs Jr. was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 13 | sister and his grandson, Ryan Garbs; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Lawrence Garbs Jr. is survived by his sons, Doug | ||||||
| 15 | (Jill), Greg (Joyce), Larry, Scott, and Chris Garbs; his 5 | ||||||
| 16 | grandchildren; and his 2 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 17 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 18 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 19 | Lawrence Garbs Jr., and we extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 2 | further
