| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Nancy Joanne Czarnik of Elk Grove | ||||||
4 | Village, who passed away on January 29, 2023; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Nancy Czarnik was born to Felicia and Walter | ||||||
6 | Spejcher in Chicago on October 25th, 1941; she married Frank | ||||||
7 | J. Czarnik in 1963, and shortly after, they moved to Elk Grove | ||||||
8 | Village, where they built their life together and welcomed two | ||||||
9 | sons; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Nancy Czarnik worked as a real estate trust | ||||||
11 | officer in Elk Grove;; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Nancy Czarnik took an active role in the Elk | ||||||
13 | Grove Village community; she first became involved with Elk | ||||||
14 | Grove Village as an appointed member of the Plan Commission on | ||||||
15 | April 25, 1989; she dedicated over 40 years of public service | ||||||
16 | to the community as a Village Trustee for 32 years, a Kenneth | ||||||
17 | Young Center Board Member, and a member of the Jaycee wives | ||||||
18 | organization and served on numerous other boards, committees, | ||||||
19 | and charities; on her last day in public office, Elk Grove | ||||||
20 | Village dedicated a plaque in her honor; and

21 | WHEREAS, Nancy Czarnik was deeply committed to her fail |

| |||||||
1 | and the Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic | ||||||
2 | Minister; and
| ||||||
3 | WHEREAS, Nancy Czarnik had a great affection for cards and | ||||||
4 | a deep love of travel; she enjoyed many adventures around the | ||||||
5 | world and lived her life with strength, integrity, and gusto; | ||||||
6 | her most fulfilling role was as "Busia" to her grandchildren, | ||||||
7 | and she cherished the moments of sharing advice, watching | ||||||
8 | movies, traveling together, and having special sleepovers; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Nancy Czarnik was preceded in death by her | ||||||
10 | husband; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Nancy Czarnik is survived by her children, Carl | ||||||
12 | (Patricia) Czarnik and Frank P. (Andrea) Czarnik; her | ||||||
13 | grandchildren, Kyle and Alaina Czarnik; and her extended | ||||||
14 | family and friends; therefore, be it

15 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | ||||||
16 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
| ||||||
17 | Nancy Joanne Czarnik and extend our sincere
condolences to her | ||||||
18 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
her; and be it | ||||||
19 | further

20 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
