2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the of Keith D. Dow of Moline, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | February 22, 2021; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Keith Dow was born to Lee and Esther (Renner) Dow | ||||||
6 | in Moline on June 22, 1923; he served in the U.S. Navy during | ||||||
7 | World War II where he was part of the Battle of Layte Gulf | ||||||
8 | while stationed on the USS California; he married Mae Clark, | ||||||
9 | and they had two daughters together; he later married Shirley | ||||||
10 | (Schultz) Williams in Moline on August 1, 1964; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Keith Dow retired as a machinist from the Rock | ||||||
12 | Island Arsenal in 1980; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Keith Dow enjoyed spending time on the river; he | ||||||
14 | loved to read and had written several short stories; he hand | ||||||
15 | carved many nautical models throughout his lifetime; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Keith Dow was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
17 | and his brothers, Neil and Ted; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Keith Dow is survived by his wife, Shirley; his | ||||||
19 | children, Christie (Ralph) Dixon, Toni (Charlie) Pogue, Linda | ||||||
20 | (Mark) Roos, Nancy (Randy) Horton, and Mike (Julie) Williams; |

1 | and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; therefore, | ||||||
2 | be it

3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
5 | Keith D. Dow and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | ||||||
6 | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
| ||||||
7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of Keith Dow as an expression of our | ||||||
9 | deepest sympathy.
