2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Timothy Ray "Tim" Parker of Fort Jacques, | ||||||
4 | Haiti, formerly of Monticello, who passed away on February 14, | ||||||
5 | 2019; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Tim Parker was born in Danville on August 5, 1970; | ||||||
7 | he graduated from Monticello High School in 1989; he married | ||||||
8 | Melissa Nance-Leach on September 1, 1991; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, In 2010, Tim Parker, along with his wife, went on | ||||||
10 | a weeklong mission trip with Crossroads Church in Monticello to | ||||||
11 | the orphanage God's Littlest Angels (GLA) in Haiti; over the | ||||||
12 | next two years, he led several teams to the orphanage and built | ||||||
13 | relationships with the people of Haiti; in 2012, he, Melissa, | ||||||
14 | and Chelsie moved to Haiti to live and work full time with the | ||||||
15 | orphanage, and he spent the last six years in faithful service | ||||||
16 | to many children and families in the mountains of Haiti; and

17 | WHEREAS, Tim Parker had a passion for Jeeps and enjoyed | ||||||
18 | going for drives with his family and the Jeep Club; he was | ||||||
19 | committed to his faith and lived his life accordingly; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Tim Parker is survived by his wife, Melissa; his | ||||||
21 | children, Tyler (Rachel) Parker, Chelsie (Steve) Bickel, and |

1 | Jamesley Parker; his grandchildren, Merrick, Emmitt, and Baby | ||||||
2 | Parker due in July; his parents, Dennis and Inge Parker; his | ||||||
3 | brother, Danny (Debbie) Cole; and his sisters, Cathy (Larry | ||||||
4 | Sebens) McFeeters and Karla (Mark) Wilson; therefore, be it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | Timothy Ray "Tim" Parker and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
8 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
