| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of LeRoy Daniel Herchenbach, who passed away | ||||||
4 | on February 20, 2015; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, LeRoy Herchenbach was born in St. Bernard, | ||||||
6 | Nebraska on November 29, 1923 and moved to Illinois during the | ||||||
7 | Great Depression; he served in the United States military | ||||||
8 | during World War II and took part in the invasion of Normandy; | ||||||
9 | he married Marilee McDougall; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, LeRoy Herchenbach and his wife co-founded Herky's | ||||||
11 | Trucking and established a family business that became | ||||||
12 | synonymous with the family name; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, LeRoy Herchenbach was preceded in death by his | ||||||
14 | wife of 57 years, Marilee, and his daughters, Sharyn (Charles | ||||||
15 | Hershey) and Janet (Chris Calhoun); and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, LeRoy Herchenbach is survived by his children, | ||||||
17 | Jack (Connie), Rick, Mike, Jill (Mark Rhoderick), Joe (Beth), | ||||||
18 | and Amy; his companion, Donna Beagley; his sister, Emily | ||||||
19 | (Robert Kerbs); and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, | ||||||
20 | and extensive family relations; therefore, be it

2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
3 | LeRoy Daniel Herchenbach, and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
4 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
5 | further

6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
7 | presented to the family of LeRoy Herchenbach as an expression | ||||||
8 | of our deepest sympathy.
