| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of John Anthony Keck of Rock Island, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on February 26, 2019; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, John Keck was born in Quincy to George and Lavonne | ||||||
| 6 | Kennedy Keck on October 12, 1941; he attended Quincy High | ||||||
| 7 | School until 1957; he enlisted in the United States Air Force | ||||||
| 8 | at the age of 19; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, John Keck worked at Electric Wheel, where he | ||||||
| 10 | developed his skills as a welder; he continued to work as a | ||||||
| 11 | welder at George Evans in Moline and retired in 2001; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, John Keck enjoyed visiting with family and | ||||||
| 13 | friends, sitting on his front porch and watching over the | ||||||
| 14 | neighborhood, and spending time with his dog, Lucas; he was an | ||||||
| 15 | avid pool and dart player and a fantastic bowler; he enjoyed | ||||||
| 16 | watching the Chicago Cubs, NASCAR, and golf; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, John Keck was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
| 18 | and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, John Keck is survived by his wife, Pam; his | ||||||
| 20 | children, Monty (Susan) Robertson, Kim (Steve) Ortiz, Wendy | ||||||

| 1 | (Charlie) Proctor, and Johanna (Sam) Brothers; his | ||||||
| 2 | grandchildren, Ashley Pratt, Alyssa Denato, Bailey Robertson, | ||||||
| 3 | Aly Robertson, Tyler VanWinkle, Carlie Proctor, Sam Hoxsey, | ||||||
| 4 | Nicholas Hoxsey, and Mallory Brothers; his | ||||||
| 5 | great-grandchildren, Jace, Jaxin, and Jerrison; his siblings, | ||||||
| 6 | Sharon (Jim) Otto, Georgian (Bill) Ballard, Bill (Michelle) | ||||||
| 7 | Keck, and Gary (Roxana) Wager; and his many cousins, nieces, | ||||||
| 8 | and nephews; therefore, be it

| 9 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
| 10 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 11 | John Anthony Keck and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 12 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
