| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death Frank L. Zembal of Prairie Grove, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on June 8, 2015; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Frank Zembal was born in Chicago on February 4, | ||||||
| 6 | 1943 to Frank C. And Clara (nee Ulanski) Zembal; he served in | ||||||
| 7 | the United States Army, serving 2 tours of duty during the | ||||||
| 8 | Vietnam War; he married Katherine Freeman in Woodstock on | ||||||
| 9 | February 26, 1993; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, After serving his country, Frank Zembal resided in | ||||||
| 11 | Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, where he worked in law enforcement for | ||||||
| 12 | over 20 years; during that time, he volunteered for the Twin | ||||||
| 13 | Lakes Fire Department as a fire inspector; in 1988, he moved to | ||||||
| 14 | the Crystal Lake area and accepted a position as Chief of | ||||||
| 15 | Police for the Village of Lakemoor, retiring in 1995; after | ||||||
| 16 | retirement, he became a Public Safety Officer at Centegra | ||||||
| 17 | Hospital of McHenry until 2009; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Frank Zembal was an avid Chicago Bears and White | ||||||
| 19 | Sox fan; he enjoyed shooting at the gun range, golfing, and | ||||||
| 20 | vacationing in Florida; and
| ||||||
| 21 | WHEREAS, Frank Zembal was preceded in death by his parents, | ||||||

| 1 | and his son, Kevin; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Frank Zembal is survived by his wife of 22 years, | ||||||
| 3 | Katherine; his 6 children, Frank (Renee) Zembal, Wayne | ||||||
| 4 | (Kimberly) Zembal, David Freeman, John (Christina) McCaulley, | ||||||
| 5 | Richard McCaulley, and Dan (Magan) McCaulley; his 12 | ||||||
| 6 | grandchildren; his 5 great-grandchildren; and his sister, | ||||||
| 7 | Carol (the late Ken) Embry; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 10 | Frank L. Zembal, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 11 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 12 | further

| 13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 14 | presented to the family of Frank Zembal as an expression of our | ||||||
| 15 | deepest sympathy.
