2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Beatrice Idleburg of Zion, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on March 2, 2024; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Beatrice Idleburg was born to John Andrews and | ||||||
6 | Gladys Dailey in Moss Point, Mississippi on September 19, | ||||||
7 | 1937; she previously lived in Norcross, Georgia; she graduated | ||||||
8 | from high school in Chicago; she married John D. Idleburg Sr. | ||||||
9 | in Mound Bayou, Mississippi; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Before her retirement, Beatrice Idleburg worked | ||||||
11 | at Sunset Foods in Lake Forest; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Beatrice Idleburg attended Ebenezer Baptist | ||||||
13 | Church in Zion, where she was a member of the Mother's Board; | ||||||
14 | she was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Beatrice Idleburg was preceded in death by her | ||||||
16 | husband; her daughter, Cheryl Thomas; her parents; her | ||||||
17 | sisters, Helen McDay, Patricia Reed, and Elizabeth Andrews; | ||||||
18 | and her brothers, John Andrews and Leon Lee Dailey; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Beatrice Idleburg is survived by her children, | ||||||
20 | John D. (Pamela) Idleburg Jr., Diane Reed, Donald Idleburg, |
