2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the passing of Audrey I. Johnson of Virden, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on June 3, 2010; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, She was born September 18, 1925, in Rolfe, Iowa, | ||||||
6 | the daughter of Albert and Hattie Ercelle (Hicks) Peers; on | ||||||
7 | September 26, 1948, she married Arthur M. Johnson in Manson, | ||||||
8 | Iowa; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Johnson was a graduate of Rolfe High School; | ||||||
10 | she then went on to get her normal school training and taught | ||||||
11 | at a country school; she later was a loving homemaker who | ||||||
12 | enjoyed and excelled at home interior decorating; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, She was a member of the Lutheran Ladies Aid and | ||||||
14 | Card Club and loved art and music; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband; her | ||||||
16 | parents; and her sister, Helen Johnson; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Audrey Johnson is survived by her daughter, Sally | ||||||
18 | Johnson; her two grandsons, Justin Johnson and Jason Johnson; | ||||||
19 | her two great-grandsons; her great-granddaughter; her two | ||||||
20 | great-great-granddaughters; her two sisters, Wanda Hodgell and |

1 | Violet Schoon; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
4 | her family and friends, the passing of Audrey Johnson; and be | ||||||
5 | it further
| ||||||
6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
7 | presented to the family of Audrey Johnson as a symbol of our | ||||||
8 | sincere sympathy.
