SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Margaret Elizabeth "Peg" Pratt of Green
4Valley, who passed away on August 16, 2010; and
5 WHEREAS, She was born on July 17, 1924 in Peoria to Oscar
6and Anna (Steinseifer) Schultz; she married David Lee Pratt on
7July 12, 1962 in Bloomington; and
8 WHEREAS, She was a former member of the Blue Eye United
9Methodist Church in Blue Eye, Missouri; she worked as the
10assistant activities director for Bel-Wood Nursing Home in
11Peoria; she later worked for Medical Surgical Supply in Peoria,
12working with Peoria-area hospitals; and
13 WHEREAS, She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the
14Limestone Fire Department; she also was a volunteer at Skaggs
15Hospital in Branson, Missouri; her hobbies included fishing,
16traveling, doing crafts, cooking, and entertaining; and
17 WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; and her
18daughter, Peggy Ann Elmore; and
19 WHEREAS, Margaret Pratt is survived by her husband, David;
20her daughter, Cheryl Lynn (James) Hayes; and her 2 grandsons,

1William Hayes and Anthony Hayes; therefore, be it
2 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
4her family and friends, the passing of Margaret Pratt; and be
5it further
6 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Margaret Pratt as a symbol of our
8sincere sympathy.
