| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Kevin G. Chapman of Urbana, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on March 3, 2020; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Kevin Chapman was born to Kenneth and Kena Jo | ||||||
| 6 | Chapman in Lansing, Michigan on October 6, 1989; the family | ||||||
| 7 | moved to Urbana in June of 2002, and Kevin graduated with | ||||||
| 8 | honors from Urbana High School in 2008; he earned his | ||||||
| 9 | bachelor's degree in zoology from Southern Illinois University | ||||||
| 10 | in Carbondale and a master's degree in ecology from Utah State | ||||||
| 11 | University; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Kevin Chapman worked as a wildlife technician with | ||||||
| 13 | the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and as an | ||||||
| 14 | ecologist for a number of fish and wildlife projects in Oregon | ||||||
| 15 | and Washington; he most recently worked out of Urbana as a | ||||||
| 16 | project biologist with Shoener Environmental Inc.; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Kevin Chapman loved the outdoors, whether for work | ||||||
| 18 | or fun, and embraced any opportunity to hike, camp, or have a | ||||||
| 19 | casual fireside beer; he will be remembered for his loving and | ||||||
| 20 | genuine spirit, his ability to have enriching, intellectual | ||||||
| 21 | conversations, his wonderfully absurd sense of humor, and his | ||||||
| 22 | passion for games of all kinds; and

| 1 | WHEREAS, Kevin Chapman was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 2 | grandparents, Lee and Norma Chapman; and
| ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Kevin Chapman is survived by his parents, Kenneth | ||||||
| 4 | and Kena Jo Chapman; his brother, Kristopher Chapman; his | ||||||
| 5 | grandparents, Kenneth and Joan Helkaa; and his loving aunts, | ||||||
| 6 | uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
| 8 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
| ||||||
| 9 | Kevin G. Chapman and extend our sincere
condolences to his | ||||||
| 10 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it | ||||||
| 11 | further
| ||||||
| 12 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
