2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Lyndel Wilmer Klausing of Staunton, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on May 9, 2022; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Lyndel Klausing was born to Wilmer and Ramona | ||||||
6 | (Prott) Klausing on November 29, 1951; he attended school in | ||||||
7 | Mt. Olive and graduated in 1969; he then attended Southern | ||||||
8 | Illinois University Edwardsville; he served in the U.S. Army | ||||||
9 | in Vietnam from May 1971 to May 1973; he was married to Kerri | ||||||
10 | (Bertagnolli) Klausing from 1987 to 2007; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Lyndel Klausing retired from the U.S. Postal | ||||||
12 | Service; he was also employed as a realtor by Cisler and | ||||||
13 | Associates; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Lyndel Klausing served as a member of the | ||||||
15 | Macoupin County Board and the Macoupin County Republican | ||||||
16 | Central Committee; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Lyndel Klausing was a member of St. John Paul II | ||||||
18 | Catholic Church, the American Legion, AMVETS, the Knights of | ||||||
19 | Columbus, the Staunton FFA Alumni Association, and the United | ||||||
20 | Mine Workers of America; and

1 | WHEREAS, Lyndel Klausing was preceded in death by his | ||||||
2 | parents; and
| ||||||
3 | WHEREAS, Lyndel Klausing is survived by his daughter, | ||||||
4 | Holly Marie Prott Klausing, and his sister, Dawnelle | ||||||
5 | (Klausing) Hanson; therefore, be it
| ||||||
6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
8 | Lyndel Wilmer Klausing and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
9 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
10 | further
| ||||||
11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
12 | presented to the family of Lyndel Klausing as an expression of | ||||||
13 | our deepest sympathy.
