SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
to learn of the death of Mary L. Wright, who passed away on
July 14, 2022; and
WHEREAS, Mary Wright was born to Bunester Robinson Nichols
and William Nichols in Chicago on October 15, 1941; she
graduated from Wendell Phillips High School; she later married
James E. Wright, and they had two daughters; she was a
long-time resident of Maywood, living there for over 40 years;
and
WHEREAS, Mary Wright worked as a kitchen manager for Red
Lobster for 20 years; and
WHEREAS, Mary Wright committed to her faith at an early
age; she enjoyed spending time with her family, laughing,
joking, and having a great time; and
WHEREAS, Mary Wright will be remembered for her soft and
giving heart as well as her feisty attitude; and
WHEREAS, Mary Wright was preceded in death by her parents;
her husband, James; and her daughter, Tabitha; and

WHEREAS, Mary Wright is survived by her daughter, Tracy D.
Wright (Garrett Body); her grandchildren, Jeffery L. Thompson,
Latreca E. T. Tabron, Larry E. Tabron III, and Garionna L.
Body; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Mary L. Wright and extend our sincere condolences to her
family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Mary Wright as an expression of our
deepest sympathy.
