2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Joseph James Cannon of Bloomington, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on April 16, 2020; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Joseph Cannon was born in Charleston, Missouri to | ||||||
6 | Houston B. and Willie Mae Lewis Cannon on January 14, 1943; he | ||||||
7 | served in the U.S. Army; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Joseph Cannon was known as an excellent cook, | ||||||
9 | singer, and artist; he enjoyed fishing and spending time with | ||||||
10 | his family; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Joseph Cannon was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
12 | and his son, Joey Cannon; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Joseph Cannon is survived by his children, Renee | ||||||
14 | Oliver, Sonia Cannon, Shea Cannon, and Tracy Curlee; his | ||||||
15 | siblings, Carl Cannon, Doris Woods, and Charles Harris; and his | ||||||
16 | many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; therefore, be it

17 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
18 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
19 | Joseph James Cannon and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
20 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
