2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of John Hayley of Oak Park, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on March 12, 2024 at the age of 77; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, John Hayley was born on November 4, 1946 in | ||||||
6 | Chicago; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, John Hayley was a lifelong resident of Chicago | ||||||
8 | and Oak Park; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, John Hayley spent his professional career as Oak | ||||||
10 | Park's Animal Control supervisor and was committed to public | ||||||
11 | safety and compassion for animals; he wrote an informative | ||||||
12 | column, Waggin' Tails, about animals; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, John Hayley was passionate about Oak Park | ||||||
14 | baseball; he coached Oak Park and River Forest Pony Baseball | ||||||
15 | and also played, participating in senior baseball leagues; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, John Hayley will be remembered for his love of | ||||||
17 | baseball and animals and his faith; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, John Hayley is survived by his family; therefore, | ||||||
