2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Eugene C. "Gene" Wadsager of Moline, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on September 16, 2022; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Gene Wadsager was born to Hans and Anna Richards | ||||||
6 | Wadsager in Moline on August 6, 1943; he graduated from United | ||||||
7 | Township High School in 1961; he served in the U.S. Air Force | ||||||
8 | from 1962 to 1966; he married Shirley L. Ruhnow Logan in April | ||||||
9 | 1986; he was previously married to Linda Bolmer; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Gene Wadsager retired from John Deere Harvester | ||||||
11 | in January 2000; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Gene Wadsager enjoyed golfing, bowling, and | ||||||
13 | fishing; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Gene Wadsager was preceded in death by his | ||||||
15 | father, Hans H. Wadsager; his mother, Anna Griffin; his | ||||||
16 | stepfather, Elmer Griffin; and his brother, Herbert Wadsager; | ||||||
17 | and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Gene Wadsager is survived by his wife, Shirley; | ||||||
19 | his children, Dr. Heather L. Wadsager Dunn (Dr. Blair Foreman) | ||||||
20 | and Christopher R. (Kimberly) Wadsager; his grandchildren, |

1 | Mason R. Dunn, Norah C.L. Dunn, and Katlin M. Wadsager; his | ||||||
2 | step-grandchildren, Zachary (Meaghan) Martin, Kambra Jones, | ||||||

4 | step-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | Eugene C. "Gene" Wadsager and extend our sincere condolences | ||||||
8 | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | ||||||
