SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
to learn of the death of Eugene C. "Gene" Wadsager of Moline,
who passed away on September 16, 2022; and
WHEREAS, Gene Wadsager was born to Hans and Anna Richards
Wadsager in Moline on August 6, 1943; he graduated from United
Township High School in 1961; he served in the U.S. Air Force
from 1962 to 1966; he married Shirley L. Ruhnow Logan in April
1986; he was previously married to Linda Bolmer; and
WHEREAS, Gene Wadsager retired from John Deere Harvester
in January 2000; and
WHEREAS, Gene Wadsager enjoyed golfing, bowling, and
fishing; and
WHEREAS, Gene Wadsager was preceded in death by his
father, Hans H. Wadsager; his mother, Anna Griffin; his
stepfather, Elmer Griffin; and his brother, Herbert Wadsager;
and
WHEREAS, Gene Wadsager is survived by his wife, Shirley;
his children, Dr. Heather L. Wadsager Dunn (Dr. Blair Foreman)
and Christopher R. (Kimberly) Wadsager; his grandchildren,

Mason R. Dunn, Norah C.L. Dunn, and Katlin M. Wadsager; his
step-grandchildren, Zachary (Meaghan) Martin, Kambra Jones,
and Brandon (Rebecca) Jones; and his five
step-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Eugene C. "Gene" Wadsager and extend our sincere condolences
to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Gene Wadsager as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
