2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Connie Lynn Kaiser of Champaign, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on July 9, 2020; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Connie Kaiser was born in Rantoul to Jack and Pat | ||||||
6 | McMahon on December 23, 1958; she graduated from Rantoul | ||||||
7 | Township High School in 1977 and married Brian Kaiser at St. | ||||||
8 | Malachy Church on November 21, 1981; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Connie Kaiser retired after 37 years, the last 24 | ||||||
10 | of them spent as superintendent of the Champaign County Youth | ||||||
11 | Detention Center in Urbana; she was devoted to her work, and | ||||||
12 | her kindness and calming influence touched many lives; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Connie Kaiser enjoyed outings with her friends and | ||||||
14 | family, including movie dates, spa days, and shopping; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Connie Kaiser was preceded in death by her mother, | ||||||
16 | Pat McMahon, and her father-in-law, William Kaiser; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Connie Kaiser is survived by her husband, Brian; | ||||||
18 | her daughter, Elly (Andrew) Edwards; her brothers, Greg (Linda) | ||||||
19 | and Doug (Lee Ann) McMahon; her sister, Val (Bob) Lewis; her | ||||||
20 | father, Jack McMahon; her mother-in-law, Marlene Kaiser; many |

1 | nieces, nephews, and dear friends; and her first grandchild, | ||||||
2 | Olivia Lynn Edwards, due in October; therefore, be it
| ||||||
3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
5 | Connie Lynn Kaiser and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
6 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
7 | further
