SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Paul R. Johnson of Rock Island, who
4passed away on November 10, 2022; and
5 WHEREAS, Paul Johnson was born to Robert and Alberta
6(Wolfe) Johnson in Rock Island on August 11, 1941; he married
7Grace J. Pauwels on January 30, 1965; he served in the U. S.
8Air Force during the Vietnam War; and
9 WHEREAS, Paul Johnson worked at Illinois Bell and retired
10in 1999 after 30 years of service; he later worked at the Hot
11Spot Pharmacy in Davenport; and
12 WHEREAS, Paul Johnson was a member of Sacred Heart Church,
13Moline, the Knights of Columbus, the Allouez Council 3rd
14Degree, Rock Island, Moline American Legion Post 246, the
15Vietnam Veterans of America, and the ATT Telephone Pioneer
16Club; and
17 WHEREAS, Paul Johnson enjoyed fishing and woodcarving; and
18 WHEREAS, Paul Johnson was preceded in death by his wife,
19Grace; his son, Joseph; his granddaughter, Anna Marie; and his
20sisters, Rosann and Lavona; and

1 WHEREAS, Paul Johnson is survived by his children,
2Christine (Keith) Ogden and Robert (Jodi) Johnson; his
3grandchildren, Ashley, Alex, Jessica, Stefanie, Anthony,
4Jennifer, and Andrew; and his five great-grandchildren;
5therefore, be it
6 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Paul R. Johnson and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
11 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Paul Johnson as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
