2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Paul R. Johnson of Rock Island, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on November 10, 2022; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Paul Johnson was born to Robert and Alberta | ||||||
6 | (Wolfe) Johnson in Rock Island on August 11, 1941; he married | ||||||
7 | Grace J. Pauwels on January 30, 1965;
he served in the U. S. | ||||||
8 | Air Force during the Vietnam War; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Paul Johnson worked at Illinois Bell and retired | ||||||
10 | in 1999 after 30 years of service; he later worked at the Hot | ||||||
11 | Spot Pharmacy in Davenport; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Paul Johnson was a member of Sacred Heart Church, | ||||||
13 | Moline, the Knights of Columbus, the Allouez Council 3rd | ||||||
14 | Degree, Rock Island, Moline American Legion Post 246, the | ||||||
15 | Vietnam Veterans of America, and the ATT Telephone Pioneer | ||||||
16 | Club; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Paul Johnson enjoyed fishing and woodcarving; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Paul Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, | ||||||
19 | Grace; his son, Joseph; his granddaughter, Anna Marie; and his | ||||||
20 | sisters, Rosann and Lavona; and

1 | WHEREAS, Paul Johnson is survived by his children, | ||||||
2 | Christine (Keith) Ogden and Robert (Jodi) Johnson; his | ||||||
3 | grandchildren, Ashley, Alex, Jessica, Stefanie, Anthony, | ||||||
4 | Jennifer, and Andrew; and his five great-grandchildren; | ||||||
5 | therefore, be it

6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

9 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
