2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Wayne Robert Blette of East Moline, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on October 19, 2020; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Wayne Blette was born in Worcester, Massachusetts | ||||||
6 | to Robert and Frances Curtis on November 25, 1955; during the | ||||||
7 | Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Navy as part of Operation | ||||||
8 | Eagle Pull and Operation Frequent Wind; he married MaryEllen | ||||||
9 | DePorter in Jamaica on September 11, 1993; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Wayne Blette was a payroll technician at the Rock | ||||||
11 | Island Arsenal; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Wayne Blette was a member of the St. Anne Catholic | ||||||
13 | Church; he loved music and was an excellent guitar player; he | ||||||
14 | was a St. Louis Cardinals fan; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Wayne Blette was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
16 | and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Wayne Blette is survived by his wife of 27 years, | ||||||
18 | MaryEllen; his sister, Gayle Scott; his brother, Stephen | ||||||
19 | Blette; his wife's family; and his many nieces and nephews; | ||||||

4 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
