| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Paul S. Erickson of Moline, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on November 17, 2020; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Paul Erickson was born in Moline on February 14, | ||||||
| 6 | 1932; he was married to Carol De Pooter at St. Mary's Catholic | ||||||
| 7 | Church of Moline on August 25, 1956; he earned his master's | ||||||
| 8 | degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of | ||||||
| 9 | Illinois; he served in the U. S. Navy; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Paul Erickson enjoyed a rewarding career working | ||||||
| 11 | at J. I. Case, E. G. Erickson Engineering Co., Deere & Co., and | ||||||
| 12 | John Deere Harvester Works until his retirement; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Paul Erickson was an avid golfer and global | ||||||
| 14 | traveler; he was a member of several clubs in Moline, including | ||||||
| 15 | the Elks, Friends Circle, Svithiod, and the Viking Club; he was | ||||||
| 16 | a life member of SME; he loved visiting and spending vacations | ||||||
| 17 | with his grandchildren; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Paul Erickson was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 19 | parents, Erick and Florence Erickson, and his sister, Jean | ||||||
| 20 | Johnson; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Paul Erickson is survived by his wife of 64 years, | ||||||
| 2 | Carol; his sons, Paul E. and Brian (Heather); his daughters, | ||||||
| 3 | Brenda and Yvonne (Brian Murray); and his grandchildren, | ||||||
| 4 | Alexander Erickson, Gunnar Erickson, Evan Erickson, Quinn | ||||||
| 5 | Erickson, Ellis Erickson, Allyse Murray, and Conor Murray; | ||||||
| 6 | therefore, be it

| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
| 8 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 9 | Paul S. Erickson and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 10 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 11 | further

| 12 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
