SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Delores "Ceil" Moore, who passed away on
February 8, 2016; and
WHEREAS, Delores Moore was born on October 12, 1936 in
Alton; her parents were Harvey and Cordelia (nee Cross) Green;
and
WHEREAS, Delores Moore enjoyed listening to her music; she
was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her children
and grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Delores Moore was preceded in death by her
parents; her husband, William Moore, Jr.; her son, William
Moore, III; her brothers, Melvin Huff, Harvey Green, Charles
Green, and William Green; and her sisters, Betty Parks and
Gertrude Latimore; and
WHEREAS, Delores Moore is survived by her sons, Duane
Moore, Sr. and Travis Moore; her daughters, Shelia (Gregory)
Moore, Veronica (Corey) Lovett, Kala (Michael) Moore, and
Alicia (Clifford) Moore; her 20 grandchildren; her 18
great-grandchildren; her 2 great-great-grandchildren; her
brother, Richard Green; her special nephew, Ronnie Green; her

godsons, Christopher Taylor and Bruce Teague; and her many
nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
family and friends, mourn the passing of Delores "Ceil" Moore;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Delores Moore as an expression of
our sympathy.
