SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Richard "Ricko" Palmer of Johnsburg, who
passed away on October 6, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Richard Palmer was born on March 12, 1944 in
Libertyville; his parents were Clark and Lauretta Palmer; he
married Judy Palmer on November 20, 1965; and
WHEREAS, Richard Palmer graduated from Libertyville High
School in 1963; and
WHEREAS, Richard Palmer worked for the Frank G. Hough
Company/International Harvester Corporation for 27 years; he
later worked for ZF Industries; and
WHEREAS, Richard Palmer was a former member of the McHenry
Moose Lodge; he was also a volunteer for Senior Services in
McHenry and an election judge; and
WHEREAS, Richard Palmer enjoyed his family fishing
vacations, fast cars, and bowling; and
WHEREAS, Richard Palmer was preceded in death by his
parents and his father-in-law, Arthur Halle; and

WHEREAS, Richard Palmer is survived by his wife, Judy; 3
children, Brian (Kathleen) Palmer, Rikki (Christine) Palmer,
and Cindy (Lane) McConnell; 6 grandchildren; a
great-granddaughter; and 3 sisters; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
family and friends, mourn the passing of Richard "Ricko"
Palmer; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Richard Palmer as an expression of
our sympathy.
