2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Gerald A. "Jerry" Bonnette of Pekin, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on November 15, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Gerald Bonnette was born on December 5, 1938 in | ||||||
6 | Pekin; his parents were Earl and Mary (nee Cheney) Bonnette; he | ||||||
7 | married Sharon Morrissey on June 27, 1959 at Sacre Coeur Church | ||||||
8 | in Creve Coeur; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Gerald Bonnette retired as vice president of the | ||||||
10 | Independent Steelworkers Alliance in 2002 after 41 years of | ||||||
11 | service; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Gerald Bonnette was a member of St. Joseph | ||||||
13 | Catholic Church in Pekin and the Sunset Hills Golf Club; he was | ||||||
14 | also a member of Pekin Moose Lodge 916; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Gerald Bonnette enjoyed spending time with his | ||||||
16 | family and pets, playing golf with his buddies, and collecting | ||||||
17 | miniature Christmas ornaments; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Gerald Bonnette was preceded in death by his | ||||||
19 | mother; and

1 | WHEREAS, Gerald Bonnette is survived by his wife, Sharon; 2 | ||||||
2 | sons, Michael Bonnette and Terry Bonnette; his father; and 2 | ||||||
3 | stepbrothers, Gary (Carolyn) Minar and Ed (Lynnette) Minar; | ||||||
4 | therefore, be it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
7 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Gerald A. "Jerry" | ||||||
8 | Bonnette; and be it further

9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
10 | presented to the family of Gerald Bonnette as an expression of | ||||||
11 | our sympathy.
