2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Kenneth Lee Cannedy of Wood River, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on November 21, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Cannedy was born on January 3, 1936 in | ||||||
6 | East Alton; his parents were Kent and Henrietta (nee Rapp) | ||||||
7 | Cannedy; he and his cousin, Don Blake, were raised by Bill and | ||||||
8 | Hattie Swan; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Cannedy worked as a crew leader for | ||||||
10 | Owens-Illinois Inc. until his retirement after 30 years of | ||||||
11 | service; he also served as a Member of the Altonized Community | ||||||
12 | Federal Credit Union Board; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Cannedy was a life-long St. Louis | ||||||
14 | Cardinals baseball fan and was very active in the East Alton | ||||||
15 | Baseball clubs; and

16 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Cannedy was preceded in death by his | ||||||
17 | parents; his former wife, Shirley (nee Benton) Cannedy; a | ||||||
18 | brother, Orville Cannedy; and a sister, Pat Provow; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Cannedy is survived by 4 sons, Steven | ||||||
20 | (Sarah) Cannedy, Don Cannedy, Roy (Kathy) Cannedy, and David |

1 | (Robin) Cannedy; 6 grandchildren; a brother, Jack (Hazel) | ||||||
2 | Cannedy; a sister, Eva Faye Zeissett; and a loving special | ||||||

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
6 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Kenneth Lee Cannedy; | ||||||
7 | and be it further
