SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Frank F. Painter of East Moline, who
passed away on September 12, 2018; and
WHEREAS, Frank Painter was born in Geneseo to William and
Beulah Fones Painter on August 28, 1924; he graduated from
Geneseo High School in 1942 and served with the U.S. Army in
England during World War II; he married Darleen M. Dupre at St.
Malachy Catholic Church in Geneseo on April 15, 1950; and
WHEREAS, Frank Painter retired as a sales engineer from
Bendix in Davenport, Iowa; he then worked for Pace Development
and retired from Peco Industries through the Rock Island
Arsenal; and
WHEREAS, Frank Painter loved spending his days walking his
dogs, attending the YMCA, and watching the Cubs win; he loved
animals and enjoyed feeding all the neighborhood wildlife; and
WHEREAS, Frank Painter was preceded in death by his
parents; his wife, Darleen; his daughter, Kathleen "Kip"
Majeski; his sisters, Gertrude, Lida, Dorothy, Boots, and
Elnora; his brothers, Marion, Bill, James "Lefty", Art, and
John; and his dachshunds Sam and Frank; and

WHEREAS, Frank Painter is survived by his children, Steven
Painter and Therese James, and his grandchildren, Megan, Katie,
Adam, Nathan, and Kristin; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Frank Painter and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Frank Painter as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
