SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Gene H. Schroeder of Hampton, who passed
away on September 6, 2016; and
WHEREAS, Gene Schroeder was born in Davenport to Harold and
Bernice Schreck Schroeder on May 6, 1938; he served in the
United States Navy and married Kathy Marineau in East Moline on
April 19, 1975; and
WHEREAS, Gene Schroeder was the golf pro at Golfmohr Golf
Course in Hampton, and the former Mill Creek (Pinnacle) Golf
Course in Milan; he also worked as a food broker for Calkins &
Co. in Davenport, Iowa and Premier Pesses Marketing in
Davenport; and
WHEREAS, Gene Schroeder loved hunting, fishing, and
bowling; his passion was golf, and he had 10 holes-in-one over
his life; he also bowled a 300 game; and
WHEREAS, Gene Schroeder was preceded in death by his
parents; and
WHEREAS, Gene Schroeder is survived by his wife, Kathy; his
sons, Scott Schroeder, and Justin (Leesa) Schroeder; his

grandsons, Daniel Schroeder, and Ryne Schroeder; his sister,
Sue Tobin; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Gene H. Schroeder, and extend our sincere condolences to his
family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Gene Schroeder as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
