2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Gene H. Schroeder of Hampton, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on September 6, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Gene Schroeder was born in Davenport to Harold and | ||||||
6 | Bernice Schreck Schroeder on May 6, 1938; he served in the | ||||||
7 | United States Navy and married Kathy Marineau in East Moline on | ||||||
8 | April 19, 1975; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Gene Schroeder was the golf pro at Golfmohr Golf | ||||||
10 | Course in Hampton, and the former Mill Creek (Pinnacle) Golf | ||||||
11 | Course in Milan; he also worked as a food broker for Calkins & | ||||||
12 | Co. in Davenport, Iowa and Premier Pesses Marketing in | ||||||
13 | Davenport; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Gene Schroeder loved hunting, fishing, and | ||||||
15 | bowling; his passion was golf, and he had 10 holes-in-one over | ||||||
16 | his life; he also bowled a 300 game; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Gene Schroeder was preceded in death by his | ||||||
18 | parents; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Gene Schroeder is survived by his wife, Kathy; his | ||||||
20 | sons, Scott Schroeder, and Justin (Leesa) Schroeder; his |

1 | grandsons, Daniel Schroeder, and Ryne Schroeder; his sister, | ||||||
2 | Sue Tobin; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
5 | Gene H. Schroeder, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
6 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
7 | further
| ||||||
8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
9 | presented to the family of Gene Schroeder as an expression of | ||||||
10 | our deepest sympathy.
