2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of William E. Armstrong of Mettawa, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on October 21, 2016, at the age of 67; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, William Armstrong graduated from Libertyville | ||||||
6 | High School and Northwestern University with honors; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, William Armstrong retired from the United States | ||||||
8 | Military Processing Center, U.S. Department of Defense; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, William Armstrong was a former Trustee for the | ||||||
10 | Village of Mettawa; he was the former Chairman for COVE | ||||||
11 | (Children's Outreach Vocational Education) of Kapeeka, Uganda | ||||||
12 | and a member of the Libertyville Masonic Lodge; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, William Armstrong is survived by his wife of 23 | ||||||
14 | years, Carol (Batson); his children, Tom Lorenz, Tammie Smith, | ||||||
15 | and Karen (Arthur) Barrie; his grandchildren, Joshua Lorenz, | ||||||
16 | Ryan Baker, Kyle Baker, Madison Baker, and Madeline Barrie; and | ||||||
17 | his brothers, Robert (Cathy) Armstrong and Stuart (Susan) | ||||||
18 | Armstrong; therefore, be it

19 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
20 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
