SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of William Paul Sonneborn of Hettick, who
passed away on August 28, 2016; and
WHEREAS, William Sonneborn was born in Hettick to Melvin
and Sadie Grace (Armstrong) Sonneborn on February 27, 1932; he
graduated from Northwestern High School; and
WHEREAS, William Sonneborn served in the United States Army
as a Sergeant during the Korean War; he married Donna Joleen
Tate in Hettick on April 11, 1952; and
WHEREAS, William Sonneborn was preceded in death by his
parents; three brothers; three sisters; and a son-in-law, Randy
Starkey; and
WHEREAS, William Sonneborn is survived by his wife of 64
years, Donna Sonneborn; his daughters, Tammy (Ron) Dugan, and
Janna (Larry) Tetzlaff; his granddaughters, Courtney (Gary)
Dugger, and Kelsey Starkey; his grandsons, Mike Dugan, and Jeff
Dugan; two great-grandchildren; his sister, Dianna (Tom)
Drake, and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
William Paul Sonneborn, and extend our sincere condolences to
his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of William Sonneborn as an expression
of our deepest sympathy.
