Requires the commission for higher education to approve the
establishment of: (1) not more than six graduate degree programs,
which must be aligned with industries identified as target industries for
regional economic development; and (2) a baccalaureate degree
program in insurance and risk management; at the Indiana
University_Purdue University Fort Wayne campus.

A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning
higher education.
(1) establishment of any new branches, regional or other campuses, or extension centers;
(2) establishment of any new college or school; or
(3) offering on any campus of any:
(A) additional associate, baccalaureate, or graduate degree; or
(B) additional program leading to a certificate or other indication of accomplishment.
(b) The commission shall approve the establishment of not more than six (6) graduate degree programs, which may include doctoral degree programs, at the Indiana University.Purdue University Fort Wayne campus. Each program approved under this subsection must be aligned with an industry that is identified as a target industry for regional economic development. Total
enrollment in the programs may not exceed ninety-six (96) students
each academic year.
(c) The commission shall approve the establishment of a
baccalaureate degree program in insurance and risk management
at the Indiana University_Purdue University Fort Wayne campus.
