Synopsis: Statewide assessment scores. Requires the department of
education to submit an annual report to the state board of education and
the legislative council concerning: (1) the cut scores for statewide
assessments administered during the previous school year and how the
cut scores correlate to the cut scores of national and international
assessments; and (2) a statistical analysis of how student scores on the
statewide assessments compare with student scores on national and
international assessments.
Effective: July 1, 2013.

A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning
education.
(b) Not later than December 31 of each year, the department shall report to the state board and the legislative council the following information concerning statewide assessments administered during the previous school year under this chapter:
(1) The cut scores for the statewide assessments, and how the cut scores correlate to the cut scores of:
(A) national; and
(B) international;
assessments.
(2) A statistical analysis of how student scores on the
statewide assessments compare with student scores on:
(A) national; and
(B) international;
assessments.
The report to the legislative council must be in an electronic format
under IC 5-14-6.
