Bill Title: Election matters. Provides that the polls close at 8 p.m. (Under current law, the polls must close at 6 p.m.) Permits a voter to register at the polls by completing a voter registration form and an affirmation that the person has not voted elsewhere in the election and by providing proof of residence. Requires that all elections be conducted primarily by mail beginning with elections in 2022. Provides for the January 1, 2022, expiration of several provisions of the election Code that will be obsolete under a vote by mail system. Requires the interim study committee on elections to study
