A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION honoring Charlotte Zietlow's
lifetime of achievements as a businesswoman, civic leader, educator
and volunteer.

RESOLUTION No. ________
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION honoring Charlotte Zietlow's
lifetime of achievements as a businesswoman, civic leader and
volunteer.
Whereas, Charlotte Zietlow has served Indiana as a
businesswoman, civic leader, educator and volunteer; and
Whereas, Charlotte Zietlow has been a driving force in
Monroe County economic development, opening Goods, Inc.,
a kitchen supply store; and Confidential Document
Destruction, a mobile document shredding business; and
Whereas, Charlotte Zietlow served as Bloomington City
Council President and Monroe County Commissioner and
led the fight to preserve the Monroe County courthouse; and
Whereas, Charlotte Zietlow served as a Trustee of
Indiana State University from 1989 to 2005, earning the
Jones Medal for Outstanding Service and the Volunteers
Distinguished Service Award; and
Whereas, Charlotte Zietlow has served as an Adjunct
Professor at Indiana University, teaching Germanic
Linguistics as well as in the School of Public and
Environmental Affairs; and
Whereas, Charlotte Zietlow served as United Way of Monroe County's Executive Director and as Economic Development Coordinator of Middle Way House; Therefore
SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly recognizes and
honors Charlotte Zietlow for her lifetime of service to the City of
Bloomington, Monroe County and the State of Indiana.
SECTION 2. That the Clerk of the Indiana House of
Representatives transmits a copy of the resolution to Charlotte Zietlow.
