A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION honoring Sidney Gaither on the
occasion of his 60th birthday.

RESOLUTION No. ________
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION honoring Sidney Gaither on
the occasion of his 60th birthday.
Whereas, Sidney Gaither was born on January 13, 1950;
and
Whereas, Sidney Gaither
fathered Indiana's first
quintuplets on August 3, 1983; and
Whereas, the quintuplets are
the first African American
quintuplets in the United States of America; and
Whereas, Sidney and Suzanne Gaither raised and loved
six distinguished children, including their first son Ryan and
his five siblings,
Ashlee, Joshua, Renee', Rhealyn, and
Brandon; Therefore
SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly congratulates Sidney Gaither for raising six distinguished children and wishes him a happy 60th birthday.
SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the Indiana House of Representatives transmits a copy of this resolution to Sidney Gaither.
