HOUSE CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION



        A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION honoring Anna Rohrer.

    Whereas, Mishawaka High School sophomore Anna Rohrer became a national champion with her victory in the Foot Locker High School Cross Country National Championship with a time of 17:25;

    Whereas, Anna Rohrer is only the second girl in Indiana history to win the Foot Locker High School Cross Country National Championship, with the fourth fastest time by an underclassman;

    Whereas, Anna Rohrer also won the individual state championship with a meet record time of 17:13.2 and captured the Foot Locker Midwest Regional in a course record 16:54;

    Whereas, In addition to her prowess as a cross country star, Anna Rohrer excels in the classroom with a 4.21 grade point average;

    Whereas, Anna Rohrer is a talented musician who volunteers at area nursing homes and an elementary school drug awareness program; and

    Whereas, Through hard work and dedication, Anna Rohrer has become one of the best runners in the state of Indiana whose accomplishments deserve special recognition: Therefore,


Be it resolved by the House of Representatives

of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana,

the Senate concurring:

    SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly congratulates Anna Rohrer on her outstanding accomplishments and wishes her continued success in all her future endeavors.
    SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a copy of this resolution to Anna Rohrer and her family.
