RESOLUTION
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION honoring the students at
Elkhart Central High School and Elkhart Memorial High School.
Whereas, Elkhart is a great place to live, work, and play;
Whereas, Service learning provides students the
opportunity to develop skills in the areas of communication,
collaboration, and leadership;
Whereas, The Elkhart Community Schools school district
is committed to providing an environment that is conducive
to service learning;
Whereas, The students that comprise the Superintendent's
Student Advisory Councils for Elkhart Central High School
and Elkhart Memorial High School have demonstrated
exceptional leadership;
Whereas, The students of Elkhart Central High School and
Elkhart Memorial High School have exhibited outstanding
community spirit;
Whereas, The students of Elkhart Central High School and
Elkhart Memorial High School have brought respect, honor,
and integrity to the city of Elkhart, their schools, teachers,
parents, and guardians; and
Whereas, The students of Elkhart Central High School and Elkhart Memorial High School have completed 30,000 community service learning hours in less than seven months:
Therefore,
SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly acknowledges
outstanding community service efforts.
SECTION 2. That the Indiana General Assembly acknowledges the
efforts of the students of Elkhart Central High School and Elkhart
Memorial High School in completing 30,000 community service hours.
SECTION 3. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
Representatives transmit a copy of this resolution to the principals of
Elkhart Central High School and Elkhart Memorial High School.
